3FACE handled the interior renovation of a building within the former Olivetti complex in Pozzuoli, a masterpiece designed in the 1950s by Luigi Cosenza, a master of Rationalist architecture.

3FACE approached the project with due respect, fully aware of being merely “guests” of a piece of architectural and enlightened entrepreneurial history: the factory within nature, or more aptly, the “factory-territory.”

In Pozzuoli, the Olivetti factory represents a rare example of harmony between industrial architecture and an area of extraordinary landscape significance.

The objective set by 3FACE in designing the spaces was to preserve this unique character, both in the choice of materials and in the design of the building systems.

The fusion of two key elements—employee well-being and the grandeur of nature—is felt throughout the complex: the renovation and lighting interventions enhanced and reinterpreted a culturally significant heritage that was visionary and persistently pursued over sixty years ago, with a contemporary approach.
