Mechanical system refurbishment, detailed executive design, safety coordination during both design and construction phases, and construction management through to completion and commissioning of the systems

Torri Garibaldi

3FACE handled the mechanical system upgrade of the Torri Garibaldi in central Milan, following a new internal space layout.

The intervention aimed to improve indoor comfort conditions and address several issues related to internal comfort (hot air stratification, cold air infiltration, and system noise).

The mechanical system refurbishment focused on meeting the requirements of the architectural layout changes: parts of the hall and a newly built mezzanine were converted into open-space offices for coworking activities; enclosed structures such as phone booths and meeting rooms were also created, and a new restroom block was added.

For the entire building, measures were taken to eliminate thermal bridges in corner offices, improve air distribution, reduce system noise, and implement targeted interventions to enhance environmental comfort and reduce the building’s heating and cooling demands, thereby achieving energy savings in building management.
